British artist Dexter Dalwood does paintings and collages. Typically, Dalwood's works depict imagined and constructed interiors or landscapes, usually devoid of figures, that act as memorials or descriptions of various historic people, places or moments.
Peter Beard is an artist born and raised in New York. He took pictures and kept diaries since he was 12, he then suddenly became fixated with Africa so the majority of his artwork is taken from there. He was obsessed with African artifacts, burned diaries, elephant carcasses and taxidermy.
Kemp Muhl is my favourite model at the moment; she has awesome style - her style represents her travels. She's also in a band with her boyfriend, sean lennon, the band is called GOASTT (ghost of a saber toothed tiger) http://www.myspace.com/theghostofasabertoothedtiger
Robert Bergman is a 65 year old photographer who has just recently made his first real debut. I saw an exhibition of his on the lower west side in a small art gallery. He only had his debut recently because he didn't feel his vision was not ready yet. He takes portraits of everyday people along his travels, but what I like about them the most is that he shoots them in their natural surroundings. Unfortunately my favourite one wasn't on the internet, it was a portrait of a black homeless guy. But here are a couple of his works that I saw.
I just got back yesterday from my trip to New York this Christmas. By far the best Christmas ever. I spent a few times with my friend Izzy, who lives on Fifth Ave. I took this picture in the taxi with her when it was snowing.
On the lower east side, my friend Nicole and I stopped to go into this cafe where they drew illustrations on the food.
and this is the last picture I took on the trip of the Empire state building.
